Preparations are in full swing for one of the club’s big events in 2016. The DRP Cycle Point2Point takes place on Saturday and Sunday, May 21st and May 22nd. This is a two-day event from Rosses Point in County Sligo to St John's Point in County Donegal on the Saturay – then returning to Oxfield on the Sunday (with an overnight in Killybegs in between). That’s 100kms/60 miles each way. The Official Launch and Registration Night for the #CyclePoint2Point will be on Monday, March 14th, in Davis’s Restaurant – The Yeats Tavern, Drumcliffe, at 8pm. We congratulate St Attracta’s Tubbecurry on reaching the Connacht Colleges Senior ‘A’ Chp final following their semi-final victory over St Coleman’s Claremorris. The win sets up a first-ever All-Sligo Connacht Colleges Senior A final against Summerhill on March 5th.
Club Registration for 2016 takes place in Scoil Réalt na Mara in Rosses Point this Wednesday 24th from 7:30pm to 9pm.
The Grange Players Drama Group present John B Keane's classic The Field in The Hawk’s Well Theatre on Tuesday 1 March 2016. Our club will receive €5 from every ticket sold for the Tuesday performance. The GAA Nursery for 2016 begins in Oxfield this Saturday morning (27th). Training for players aged 4-6 years starts indoors at 9:45am sharp. U8 and U10 training at 10:30. New players are especially welcome. Parents must stay for the U6 session which last 45 minutes.
The club’s monthly meeting for February takes place this Monday night 29th in Oxfield at 9pm.
Our indoor gaelic football session – Pella – continues on Monday nights in Sligo Tennis Club at 9pm. New players always welcome to give it a try. Costs just €4 per session.
