The senior men’s footballers drew their first competitive match of 2016 on Saturday evening. It finished 0-10 to 0-10 against Castleconnor in Group A of the Benson Cup at Oxfield. Aaron McCormack and Hugh Kisby made their senior debuts for the club, with Aaron turning in a man of the match performance. The seniors begin their SFL Division 2 campaign this Sunday away to St Farnan’s at 2pm.
There was a great turnout for the Family Quiz in Rathcormac Hall on Sunday afternoon.
Thanks to everybody who supported and congrats to he Regan family who won 1st prize - after a tie-break. A special mention also for the McGarvey family who flew in from Singapore to take part in the event!
Good luck to senior club player Brian Monaghan who lines out in an All Ireland Higher Education Division 3 Basketball Final with IT Sligo against DIT on Tuesday at the National Basketball Arena in Dublin.
Our footballers and hurlers from U8 to U14 are taking part in Thursday’s St Patrick’s Day Parade in Sligo. Parents and children are asked to assemble at the Parade start on the Mail Coach Road at 11:30am. The club’s popular Family Hot Pot event takes place after the parade, in Harry’s Rosses Point from 3pm.
Registration is now open for the club’s Cycle Point2Point fundraiser which takes place on May 21st & 22nd this year. This is a cycle from Rosses Point in Co Sligo to St John’s Point in Donegal (and back) over two days.
