The senior men’s team continued their unbeaten start to the new season with a 1-12 to 0-5 win at home to Castleconnor in Division 2 of the league on Saturday evening. The younger panel members played a key part in the win but it was an experienced head, John Harvey, who netted the second-half goal. Our next match is away to Ballymote on April 10th.
Hard luck to the Summerhill College team who narrowly lost their All-Ireland Colleges semi-final last Wednesday. The team can nonetheless be justifiably proud of their achievements this year.
The club is fielding a junior men’s football team in Division 4 this season. Any players interested in being involved should contact the Club Secretary this week or any club officer.
Our boys U14 footballers made a winning start to their league campaign last Friday with a 5-5 to 2-1 win over Castleconnor at a wild and windy Oxfield on Friday evening. Well done to our U14 girls who contested the Feile in Grange at the weekend.
Congrats to club player Oisín O’Reilly who who was part of the Ireland U19 basketball team which competed at the European Championships in France last week.
The club’s next monthly meeting takes place this Tuesaday night, April 5th, in Oxfield at 9pm. The club’s newsletter for April will be published on Wednesday 6th.
We’re pleased to offer a one-day option for the CyclePoint2Point on May 21st for entrants who can’t give the two-day commitment. Participants have the option of completed the Saturday cycle (100kms) and will be bused home from Killlybegs that evening with the drop-off point being Oxfield.
