After a gap of 31 years, Summerhill College are celebrating a Connacht Colleges Senior A Championship title. Last Saturday’s success at Markievicz Park featured six DRP club players on the Summerhill panel: Seán Power, Cian Lally, Colin Feeney, Aaron McCormack, Jack McLoughlin and Ross Hickey. Congrats to all the team and management and we wish ‘The Hill’ every success in their All-Ireland semi-final against the Ulster champions on March 23rd. Commiserations to St Attracta’s Tubbercurry who ran the College very close in last Saturday’s final.

The time has come to find that bicycle pump and get your bike out of the garage! Registration for our big fundraiser of 2016 - the Cycle Point2Point takes place on Monday evening (Mar 14th) in the Yeats Tavern, Drumcliffe, at 8pm. The Point2Point, which will take place on May 21 & 22nd this year, is a two-day cycle event from Rosses Point in Sligo to St John’s Point in Donegal (60 miles each way). It promises to be a memorable community event and you can be part of it. Join us for the official registration night this Monday, March 14h, at 8pm. Registration fee on the night is €20.

Hard luck to our U14 hurlers who went down to Galway side Mountbellew-Moylough in the semi-finals of the Connacht Suck Valley league, played in Ballyhaunis last Saturday. It was nonetheless an achievement to reach this stage of the competition and our young players will learn from the experience.

The club’s popular Family Table Quiz takes on Sunday, March 13th in Rathcormac Hall at 4pm. This is great day out for all the family with the questions tailored to suit all ages.
See our facebook page for more details.

There was no winner Jackpot (€5000) or Match 3 winner for club’s February Lotto Draw.
The 4 x €25 euro winners were:  Michael O'Brien, Michael Flannery, Padraic Keane & Anthony Gilmartin.
