St Stephen’s Day match is back

posted 23 Dec 2014, 13:54 by Ohare Auman
The popular St Stephen’s Day match is on this Friday 26th in Oxfield. There’ll be a change to the format this year. Instead of the traditional Drumcliffe v Rosses Point game, a seven-a-side competition is being organised. Players of all ages are welcome to take part, especially former club players who are home for Christmas and who might like to ‘roll back the years’ for an hour or two. There’ll be four teams (captains in brackets): Rosses Point – Niall Collery, Carney – Gary Feeney, Teesan – Kevin Davey and Rathcormac. – Justin Lyons. Players are asked to assemble at 12.30pm on Friday. The first match is due to start at 1pm. And yes, there will be a post-match reception afterwards. All are welcome.
