Sincere thanks to all the players, parents and coaches who attended a very enjoyable Club Juvenile celebration in Rathcormac last Friday night. The occasion honoured all our underage teams from U12 to minor for their commitment and dedication over the last 12 months. Thanks also to Supermacs on the Bundoran Road for supplying the food, and to Brian McGauran for providing the tunes and the disco press-ups (surely a first for Rathcormac Hall!).
Well done to our club players involved with the Sligo men’s and women’s county teams in the national league last Sunday. The men, captained by our own Neil Ewing, secured an important draw with Armagh in their opening match of Division 3 while the ladies had a great win over Westmeath at Cloonacool in Division 2 on a final scoreline of 3-6 to 1-8.
Club Registration takes place at two venues later this month: Saturday Feb 18th in Oxfield from 10am to 1pm – and – Wednesday Feb 22nd in Scoil Réalt na Mara Rosses Point from 7:15pm to 9pm.
A club quiz team is taking part in Ocean FM’s Pole Position sports quiz this year. Tune in this Sunday evening (Feb 12th) at 6:05pm to hear how they got on in their first round match against Manor Rangers FC.
Saturday morning nursery coaching (U6 – U10) will start in Oxfield on March 4th.
