COMPETITION RULES

(For the purposes of the explanation below, we are using a sample scoreline of London1-13 Sligo 1-15)

  1. The Championship Score Forecast competition applies to the result of the London v Sligo match at the end of normal time (70 minutes plus added time). It does not include extra-time. Where there is more than one entry with the correct score, the winner will be determined by the drawing of Lots.
  2. If there is no correct exact score eg: London 1-13 Sligo 1-15, the winner will be the closest score chosen as follows: The exact total aggregate points for each team eg: London 16 points Sligo 18 points or any other such combination such as London 3-7 Sligo 0-18. If there is more than one such score, the winner will be chosen by lot. If there is no correct answer, the winner will be the closest score chosen as follows in Rule 3.
  3. The exact winning margin ie: two point win for Sligo in the above example – London 1-13 Sligo 1.15. Or, any other scoreline with a two-point win for Sligo. If there is more than one such score the winner will be chosen by lot. If there is no correct answer, the winner will be the closest score chosen as per Rule 4.
  4. The closest winning margin ie the closest to a two-point win for Sligo in the above example. So, if there is a prediction with a one or three point win for Sligo, that will be the winner. If there is more than one such score the winner will be chosen by lot. If there is no correct answer, the winner will be the closest score chosen as follows in Rule 5.
  5. The next closest winning margin with the same winner to the match – ie: a win for Sligo with the next nearest winning margin. If there is more than one such score, the winner will be chosen by lot. If there is no correct answer, see Rule 6.
  6. If there is no prediction of the correct winner of the match, then a draw will be the winner. If there is more than one such score the winner will be chosen by lot. If there is no correct answer, the winner will be the closest score chosen as per Rule 7.
  7. If there is no winner on that criteria, the next closest win for the Opponent (London) will be the winner. If there is more than one such score the winner will be chosen by lot.
  8. In the event of a dispute, the Finance Committee’s decision will be final.
