It was a super Sunday for our women’s intermediate footballers who lifted the Sligo Division 2 league title in style at Connolly Park in Collooney after an enthralling final against Owenmore Gaels saw them win by 6-6 to 2-12. It was a superb display by the team in what was an absorbing, tough and entertaining league decider. Goals win games and this proved to be the case last Sunday. For DRP ladies, it’s their first league title for eight years. Our developing team had mixture of survivors from that side of 2011 along with several of our younger up and coming players. The mix was just right. Congrats to all the players and the management team, led by Mike Healy. It provides a fitting finish to the 2019 season.

The county titles continue to flow for DRP. Benbulben Gaels under 16 hurlers lifted the county under 16 championship last Monday night in Scarden with an emphatic 9-8 to 2-4 win against Western Gaels. Heartiest congrats to the players and management team led by John O’Callaghan.

We’ll be back again in March 2020.
