There were two DRP men on the Sligo team which beat Antrim in dramatic fashion on Sunday at Markieivcz Park to go top of Division 4 of the NFL. Well done to Neil Ewing and Cian Lally for their contributions to that win.

Hard luck to the Sligo women’s footballers who were beaten by Kildare in Division 3 in Newbridge by 2-13 to 1-8. Rachel Quigley and Sinead Regan were part of the Sligo team. The club can claim a tiny portion of the credit for Kildare’s win as former club captain Siobhán O’Sullivan lined out at midfield for the lillywhites.
