While last Sunday’s result in Ennis wasn’t the one Sligo senior men’s footballers were hoping for, the game was a milestone for DRP’s Eoghan Smith who made his senior league debut for his county. This came seven days after his sister Rianne made her senior Sligo debut against Offaly – so it’s been a landmark seven days for the Smith family. Hard luck to our women’s and men contingent on the Sligo teams which lost out to Clare in their respective league games at the weekend.

Hard luck to the DRP players on the Summerhill College senior gaelic football team, whose run in this year’s Connacht Colleges championship came to an end last Friday night – following a narrow Connacht semi-final defeat to St Gerald’s, Castlebar.

We are pleased to confirm that Tommy Oates and Barry O’Sullivan will manage the DRP senior women’s football team for 2024. Tommy and Barry bring a wealth of experience and knowhow to the role and we wish them every success for the season ahead.

Applications are invited for interested parties in managing the DRP junior women’s team.

Fergal O’Flaherty will again manage our senior men’s football team for 2024. We wish Fergal and his management team every success.

Best wishes to  Clive Slevin and Josian Oskoz from Drumcliffe Handball Club, who contest the Connacht Silver Masters doubles final against Claregalway this weekend.
