Coaching Workshop
Thanks to all our club coaches who attended our underage coaching workshop in Oxfield. It was great to see such a big attendance. An initial draft of of the club’s new coaching manual was also distributed on the night. This is a live document which will be revised and updated at the start of each year. LGFA Division 2 of the National League
Well done to club players Michelle McNamara, Rachel Monaghan and Sinéad Regan who were part of the Sligo team which beat Waterford by 2-7 to 0-11 in Division 2 of the National League last Sunday in Cloonacool.
Club registration evening on Wednesday, March 1st
We’re holding a club registration evening on Wednesday, March 1st in Scoil Réalt na Mara, Rosses Point from 7-9pm. Full registration details and membership fees for 2017 are available to view on the club website drp.gaa.ie.
GAA Nursery 2017 coaching begins
Our Saturday GAA Nursery 2017 coaching begins on March 4th in Oxfield. Players born in 2011, 2012 and 2013 start at 9:45am sharp. Please note this session will be INDOORS for the first few weeks. For more info, contact Austin O’Callaghan on 0876855621. Players born in 2007-2010 will train outdoors, starting at 10:30am. New players are always very welcome.
Club Plan for Drumcliffe/Rosses Point
A short introductory meeting, setting out our plans for the development of a new Club Plan for Drumcliffe/Rosses Point, will take place this Wednesday night Feb 22nd) in the Oxfield Centre (Foroige Room) at 9pm. All interested club members are welcome to attend.
Clothing Recycling Collection Day
If you have unwanted clothing items at home or in the workplace, bring them to our Clothing Recycling Collection Day which will be held in Rosses Point and Oxfield on Saturday, March 11th, from 10am to 2pm. Full event details are on our Facebook page.

Well done to our quiz team on Ocean FM’s Pole Position radio sports quiz, who successfully negotiated their first round match recently. The team trio of John O’Callaghan, Cormac O’Brien and Austin O’Callaghan now progress to the quarter-finals.
