Club registration

We’re holding a club registration evening this Wednesday, March 1st in Rosses Point (Scoil Réalt na Mara) from 7-9pm. Details of fees etc. are available to view on the club website drop.gaa.ie or on our Facebook page.

Sunday Blues

Hard luck to our club players involved with the Sligo men’s and ladies teams who were beaten in their respective league game last Sunday. Well done to our club representatives who were part of the Sligo girls U14 development squad which travelled to Cavan for challenge games last Saturday. The players will have learned a lot from the experience.

GAA nursery coaching sessions

The Saturday morning lie-ins come to an end this weekend as our popular GAA nursery coaching sessions begin for 2017 this Saturday morning (March 4) in Oxfield. New players are always very welcome. Session times this Saturday are as follows

Players born 2011, 2012 and 1013: Coaching starts at 9:45am sharp. Please note the U6 session is INDOORS for the first few weeks and lasts 45 mins. Parents must stay (Contact Austin O’Callaghan on 0876855621 for more info). Players born 2007 to 2010: Coaching starts at 10:30am OUTDOORS. (Contact Declan Carroll on 0879480114). All players, please remember to bring your gum-shield and a drink. You’ll be able to register

An important reminder to any new coaches who are assisting with any of our club teams this year that you must be Garda vetted. The e-vetting forms are available on gaa.ie or contact any existing club coach for more info.

Clothing recycling day

The club is holding a clothing recycling day in Rosses Point and Oxfield on Saturday March 11th from 10am to 2pm. Bring your unwanted clothing/bed linen items to either the Promenade car park opposite Harry’s Bar in the Point, or to the Oxfield car park during these times, and we’ll do the rest.

New Club Plan

Over the next few months, DRP GAA Club aims to develop a new Club Plan to help chart the future direction of the club across all its activities over next five years. We want the content of the plan to come from our club members. In the coming weeks, we’ll be inviting you to one of two public workshop meetings in Rosses Point, and one in Drumcliffe. These meetings will last one hour and will provide members with an opportunity to share their opinions on the future direction of the club. Dates and venues will be publicised in the coming weeks.
