Our women’s intermediate footballers recorded a 5-12 to 1-7 win over Calry/St Joseph’s in the Sligo LGFA All-County League last Sunday morning to remain on course for a place in the league semi-finals. They play CT Gaels this Thursday evening.

Good luck to the DRP quartet of Sinead Regan, Izzy Henry, Maeve Casserly and Caoimhe Connor who travel to Limerick with Sligo this Sunday afternoon for their second group game in the TG4 All-Ireland junior championship. Throw-in is at 2pm.

The U12 Sligo LGFA Festival of Football final between DRP and St Nathy’s, which was halted by thunder and lightning a couple of weekends ago, has been re-arranged for this Friday evening in Scarden at 6:35pm. The players would appreciate big club support.

There were three DRP men playing senior championship hurling last weekend – for Naomh Eoin. They were Paul O’Brien, Thomas Davis and Donnchadh O’Brien, who made his senior championship debut in Naomh Eoin’s 1-20 to 0-8 win over Calry/St Joseph’s.

Good luck to our minor footballers who play Shamrock Gaels in the minor ‘A’ championship this week at Oxfield.

Our junior men footballers travel to Nace O’Dowd Park in Achonry to play Coolaney/Mullinabreena in Division 4 at 7:45pm. 

The senior men’s footballers resume their Division 2 campaign on Sunday afternoon at home to Ballymote (2pm).

Ógie Murphy rolled back the years last Thursday with a vintage display at midfield in captaining Sligo to a 1-11 to 0-9 victory over Roscommon in the All-Ireland Masters football championship. The ageless Paddy Gormley was also in typical ‘Bear in the Square’ mode for Sligo.

The Oxfield Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp takes place from Monday, July 3rd to Friday, July 7th. The camp is already a sell-out with 235 participating kids. As well as ‘getting rid’ of the kids that week, you’ll also have the opportunity to unload any unwanted clothing items, paired shoes, handbags, towels, curtains, bedding etc. at Oxfield as the club will be running a ‘Cash for Clobber’ collection point in the car park. So get de-cluttering….
