Big congrats to the DRP women’s gaelic footballers (pictured) who beat Eastern Harps on Sunday morning last in Keash on a final scoreline of 2-21 to 1-10 to qualify for the Sligo LGFA intermediate championship final next month. They now await the winners of the play-off between Eoghan Rua and Eastern Harps in two weeks time. The provisional date for the intermediate final is Oct 1st – but that is subject to change. The team now turn their attention back to the senior championship this Sunday (Sept 10th). They travel to play Geevagh in their second and final group game at 10:30am. A win would see DRP qualify for the senior championship semi-finals, behind group winners St Nathy’s.
It was a double success for our two adult women’s teams in Keash last Sunday – with the junior footballers beating Harps by 1-16 to 3-8 in the junior ‘C’ championship. The juniors are away to St Mary’s this Saturday evening at 6:30pm.
Good luck to the DRP minor girls footballers who play Coolera/Strandhill in a key ‘A’ championship game this Wednesday evening at Oxfield. Throw-in is at 7pm.
Our senior men’s footballers made it two wins from two in Group 2 of the Homeland senior football championship last Saturday evening as they came from five points down at half-time to beat Shamrock Gaels by 1-11 to 1-8. Their next game is on Sept 17th against Coolera/Strandhill.
The junior men’s team collected their second win on the trot in the junior ‘B’ championship on Friday evening with a 2-14 to 0-6 victory over Easkey at Oxfield.
Well done to your boys under-15 footballers (Team Red) who beat Easkey last Sunday evening by 2-13 to 0-6 in the ‘B’ championship. They play Curry in Oxfield this Thursday at 6:30pm.
Our U13 hurlers have a busy week with two championship games this week: against Coolera/Strandhill at home, and away to Calry/St Joseph’s.
The DRP Club Lotto Jackpot this Thursday now stands at €3,300, You can enter online on drp.gaa.ie. Congrats to Hugh Cannon who won last week’s Lucky Dip prize of €25. The numbers drawn were: 9, 10, 29 & 30. There was no Jackpot or Match 3 winner.
Our club meeting for September takes place this Wednesday evening (6th) in Oxfield at 9pm sharp.
