Our girls minor footballers are still in contention in the ‘A’ championship following Thursday evening’s morale-boosting win over Eastern Harps (4-16 to 1-12) at Oxfield. The scenario now is that we face a play-off against Eoghan Rua, with the winners to play CT Gaels in the county semi-final. A special mention for Gráinne O’Hara who stepped into the breach for the minors in the absence of regular keeper Roisin Grennan and played admirably.

Our boys under-15 footballers (Team Black) bowed out of the championship at the semi-final stage last Tuesday evening, losing out narrowly to St Molaise Gaels on a final scoreline of 3-10 to 3-7, in what was an entertaining game. Our U15 Team Red are preparing for their ‘B’ Championship semi-final next week.

Well played our girls U14 football team who scored a 5-7 to 5-5 championship win against Curry last week.

Hard luck to our boys U13 footballers who lost out to Shamrock Gaels in tough weather conditions at Scarden last Sunday evening in the final of the U13 ‘A’ Shield competition.

Our boys U10 All-Stars footballers took part in an U10 blitz hosted by St Eunan’s GAA Club in Letterkenny last Sunday. It’s was a wonderful day and experience for the players. Special thanks to the U10 management team led by Conor O’Brien for all their organisation and work they put in. The Supermacs pit-stop on the way home was a big hit too. Photos of the day can be viewed on the DRP Facebook page.

Best of luck to our girls U12 footballers (Team 1) who play Eastern Harps in the Silver Cup final this Saturday afternoon in Curry at 3:30pm. The team would appreciate big club support in south Sligo on the day.

Good luck also to the DRP under-13 hurlers who play St Molaise Gaels this week in the Championship Plate semi-final.
